Lampard heading back to the Bridge?

June 12th, 2019 Football, Home, Media & Journalism, News & Events, Press Release

Frank Lampard is on course to return to Chelsea, according to the Bookmakers.

Chelsea are set to be in need of a new manager with their current boss Maurizio Sarri looking set for a move back to Italy with champions Juventus.

A number of big names are being linked with the Chelsea job including highly-rated Ajax boss Erik Ten Hag and Wolves chief Nuno Espirito Santo, whilst former chief Jose Mourinho is said to be looking at a potential third stint

But instead it is Lampard who is odds-on to land the role.

OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “At 2/9 for Lampard to return to Chelsea, it now seems a matter of when rather than if he will get the job, probability is at over 80%.

“Chelsea fans were clearly not happy with Sarri, so it seems they will be getting their wish.”

Selected odds:
Next Chelsea Manager
Frank Lampard 2/9

Next Juventus Manager
Maurizio Sarri – 1/8
