Tommy and Molly the most popular couple on Love Island

June 25th, 2019 Home, Media & Journalism, News & Events, Press Release, Showbiz, Television

Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague are leading the way in terms of popularity on Love Island.

But it is not social media influencer Molly that is leading the way, but boxer Tommy – who is the most popular contestant in the Villa when it comes to Instagram. Tommy has over 1million followers, whilst Molly-Mae is just short of that – but combined that are easily the most popular at over 2million.

The second most popular is a bit of a shock, as it is Anton & Lucie – who are a couple of convenience as they got together to merely make sure they stayed in the Villa with no romantic overtures at all – but Cornish surfer Lucie has a big social media following, the third most in the Villa just behind Tommy and Molly-Mae, and it is her following that has boosted the couple to second.

The current favourites to win the title are Liverpudlian fire fighter Michael Griffiths and Geordie beautician Amber Gill – who are 5/4 to win, but they have a little catching up to do as they stand at just over 1.3million combined – with Amber have the slight edge at just shy of 750,000 followers and Michael on over 600,000.

Oddsmonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “It is always fascinating to see how the social media followings go, because last year it was winners Jack and Dani who dominated, and so that could be a good sign for Tommy and Molly, and could be good value to win at 5/2.

“Bookies favourites Michael and Amber are lagging behind, so have the Bookmakers got it right? We are not so sure…”
