Cardiff City have sealed their place back in the Premier League, and Bookmakers are backing them to stay up.
Cardiff joined Wolverhampton Wanderers in celebrating promotion as they sealed second place in the Championship ahead of Fulham – who will now compete in the play-offs against Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Derby County.
The Bluebirds were last in the top-flight in 2014, but were relegated after one season and it is now the task of Neil Warnock to make sure that does not repeat itself.
“Neil Warnock has worked wonders to get Cardiff up and he might need to perform similar miracles to keep them up, but the Bookmakers think they can do it,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“As it stand generally they are 5/4 to be relegated but odds-on at 4/7 to stay up – this season, all three of the promoted teams are staying up and the Bookies are clearly in no hurry to take on any of the newly promoted sides.”
Selected odds for Cardiff next season:
To stay up next season – 4/7
To be relegated – 5/4
To finish in the top half – 12/1
To finish top six – 66/1
To win the league – 2500/1
