A number of Bookmakers are ready to pay out on Manchester City winning the title, if they beat Manchester United this weekend.
PaddyPower were first to cough up earlier this week, but others are ready to follow suit if they beat their nearest rivals and neighbours. A win would take them 11 points clear at the top.
“Man City will set a new Premier League record of 14 successive wins if they win, and the Bookmakers are certainly believing that – City are firm favourites to win at Old Trafford and are 6/5 almost half the odds of United at 12/5 – indeed the probability for City is nearly 50%,” revealed OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“City’s odds of being invincible and going the season unbeaten will also be chopped. should they win – that is currently around 9/1 although it is as short as 5/1 in places.
“City’s title odds are already at 1/8 – nearly 90% probability so it is little wonder some Bookmakers are preparing to pay out again.”
Selected Man City odds:
To win at Old Trafford 6/5
To go the season unbeaten 9/1
To win the title 1/8
