The price on Manchester City doing an unprecedented quadruple is now a shorter price than most of the odds on their opponents in a one off game.
City’s price on winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup has been coming in, and in in recent weeks – to the point they are not just 20/1 to win all four trophies.
“Let’s put this into context, a lot of Bookmakers had Burnley at 20/1 to beat Man City in the FA Cup – Bristol City were at 25/1 to beat them in the League Cup,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“But this is not just cup games, look to a couple of weeks time – and their league match with Newcastle – they are already around 20/1, these prices are now the norm across the board – such is City’s dominance.
“Most Bookmakers have already paid out on them winning the Premier League, and they are short-price favourites for the other three – so from that it is easy to see.
“And as the weeks go on, this current 20/1 price could look very good value – if they win the League Cup next month – then that would be two in the bag – so the price would be near single figures at that point.”
