Kompany backed for City role

May 21st, 2019 Football, Home, Media & Journalism, News & Events, Press Release

Bookmakers are already backing Vincent Kompany to become manager of Manchester City at some point.

Kompany wrapped up his City career after lifting the FA Cup following the 6-0 thrashing of Watford – that win sealed the first ever domestic treble in English football.

Soon after, Kompany confirmed he was ending his 11-year stay at City – as he had accepted the player-manager role at his very first club Anderlecht.

Now back in his native Belgium, many believe that Kompany will be a huge success as a manager.

OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “Vincent Kompany leaves City as one of their true greats, a legendary captain and ending with the domestic treble is special, and now at Anderlecht – most see him being a big success.

“Bookmakers rate him at just 4/1 to land Manchester City, and the same price to manage Belgium at some point.”

Selected Vincent Kompany odds:

Vincent Kompany to manage Man City in next 10 years – 4/1
Vincent Kompany to manage Belgium in next 10 years – 4/1
