Strictly Come Dancing 2018 has emerged as the most wide-open contest in the history of the show, as Faye Tozer becomes the fifth favourite to win.
The Steps star has taken to ballroom like a duck to water, and has top scored over the first three weeks of the series so far along with Ashley Roberts.
Roberts was actually the original favourite to win after the line-up was announced but soon after the lauch show DJ Vic Hope saw her odds slashed by the Bookmakers.
However, once the dancing began – TV presenter Stacey Dooley proved popular and was made favourite before YouTube sensation Joe Sugg took over.
Dooley was again made favourite after her popular Minnons dance with partner Kevin Clifton, but now for the first time Tozer is into 7/2 favourite to in the show – and perhaps not surprisingly, we did a feature earlier this week which revealed Tozer was the most popular of the leading celebrities last week.
At the other end and the real market mover has seen Seann Walsh cut to 11/10 to be kicked off the show this weekend – following his off-screen issues with partner Katya Jones.
Walsh and Jones were caught kissing on a night out, which was then published in the press, and both issued public apologies. Walsh split from his girlfriend as some called for them to be kicked-off the show.
Howver, the pair will complete – but they are firm favourites to go – despite producing a brilliant dance last week which saw them finish 5th on the leaderboard as it appears the public are less than amused by their antics.
OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “All change again at both ends of the betting market with Strictly.
“Faye is now favourite, and few could argue against that – she has started off wonderfully well, and that now means the top-five in the betting have all been favourite at some stage, and it looks hard to see beyond one those celebrities winning.
“One celebrity who looks unlikely to win at this stage is Seann. He was as long as 10/1 to be next out after a brilliant ‘Matrix’ inspired dance last week, but his off-screen indiscretions have hit him hard and the Bookmakers are convinced he is next out – reflected in his price of 11/10.
“Presenter Katie Piper had been favourite for the axe as she struggles to get to grips with the dances, but she looks set to be saved by Seann – so at least he will be in the good books of one woman this weekend!.”
