The main difference between these two types of email is their purpose. Marketing emails are used to bring you news about OddsMonkey that we think you\u2019ll be interested in whereas Customer Service emails allow us to send you essential information relating to your account. We\u2019ll look at this in more detail shortly.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you start a free trial, or become a Premium member, you will have the chance to opt in to receiving certain emails from us. On OddsMonkey, this is done on the sign up page. You\u2019ll be asked to tick an unticked box in order to opt in. Under GDPR laws, we need your active consent to send marketing emails.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is GDPR?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In May 2018, new privacy laws were brought in for businesses operating within the EU. They are not marketing comms.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following emails fall under the marketing category:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Latest News and Special Offers<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you opt in to receiving the latest news and special offers, you\u2019ll receive emails containing exactly that! Anything OddsMonkey related, such as new tools or features, discount codes for Premium memberships, or training guides.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Daily Offers<\/strong><br \/>\nIf you want daily bookmaker and casino offers sent straight to your inbox, then make sure you have your preferences set to \u2018Enable\u2019 for this email type.<\/p>\n<p><strong>OddsMatcher Alerts<\/strong><br \/>\nOddsMonkey Premium members can set alerts to notify them of odds changes on the OddsMatcher tool. This feature can save you time when it comes to finding the best odds for matched betting. Alerts can be set, altered, or removed whenever you want.<\/p>\n<h2>How to unsubscribe from emails<\/h2>\n<p>OddsMatcher alerts can be turned on or off at any time by visiting your OddsMatcher tool settings.<\/p>\n<p>You can unsubscribe from anything that falls into the \u2018Marketing\u2019 category by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email you\u2019ve received from us. This will take you to a page where you can update your preferences. \u2018Enable\u2019 or \u2018Disable\u2019 emails which bring you the Latest News and Special Offers\u2019 or \u2018Daily Offers\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>However, you can\u2019t unsubscribe from Customer Service emails like this. As mentioned above, Customer Service emails are a vital part of your OddsMonkey membership.
