Trump is accused of asking Ukraine to dig up information on Biden and his son Hunter, or he would withhold military aid worth $400million \u2013 that has already been granted to them by Congress.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Democratic party claim this is an obvious abuse of power, as a president cannot use his position for personal political gain. He is also accused of obstructing Congress during their inquiry.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nTrump is the first ever Republican to be impeached, although Richard Nixon was due to face them before being the only ever president to resign following the Watergate Scandal in 1974.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nNow Trump is facing the trial in the Senate after being impeached by the House of Representatives. The two before him Andrew Johnson in 1868 and Bill Clinton in 1998, were both acquitted and were not removed from office.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDespite the big trial and the American public seemingly not happy, there is little chance of Trump being removed from office \u2013 at least not until the election as the Republicans control the Senate.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nBookmakers don\u2019t see anyway in which Trump is forced out and he is 1\/50 not to be convicted by the Senate, indeed it is 1\/3 that not a single Republican Senator votes against him.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAnd looking further ahead to the election, Trump\u2019s chances have barely taken a knock as he is odds-on at 8\/11 to win a second term \u2013 ahead of Joe Biden at 9\/2 and Bernie Sanders at 6\/1.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nOddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: \u201cThere are some polls claiming 50 percent of the American public want Trump impeached, but the Bookmakers are not buying it.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\u201cTrump looks more than safe in the White House and looks set for a second term.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\u201cThe one big move in the market to challenge him is possibly Michael Bloomberg \u2013 the former New York mayor who some see as a Democratic version of Trump.
