Anne Widdicombe has the Bookmakers running scared after emerging as one of the popular housemates in Celebrity Big Brother.<\/p>\n
Australian drag artist Courtney Act remains the odds-on favourite to win, but former MP Widdicombe is proving hugely popular with the public.<\/p>\n
After the launch show, Widdicombe was a huge outsider at 100\/1 and now she is second favourite.<\/p>\n
“We did suggest at the start of CBB that there could be some major changes in the market, yes since Courtney went in – she has proven popular with the public and the Bookmakers – but Widdicombe is the major mover,” confirmed OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.<\/p>\n
“Widdicombe is now around 6\/1 second favourite, and this would be the biggest upset in reality TV history were she to take the crown having been such an outsider to begin with.<\/p>\n
“Aside from Widdicombe, the ladies are not figuring high in the betting with the Amanda Barrie next in the markets at over 20\/1.”<\/p>\n
