After Jeremy Corbyn confirmed his intention to stand down as leader of the Labour Party, the candidates to replace him are already taking shape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shadow Brexit Secretary Sir Keir Starmer is the early front-runner at 13\/8, although many believe the next leader will be a woman \u2013 with a host favoured in the betting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rebecca Long-Bailey, Jess Phillips, Angela Rayner, Yvette Cooper and Emily Thornberry are all listed after Starmer to battle for the top job in Labour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Coryn is quitting but will remain in place until his successor is confirmed \u2013 with the party\u2019s membership having the deciding vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
