Like most university students that are just about to head off to fresher\u2019s week, Connor was expecting to hear a few wise words of advice from his mother. \u201cIt just depends. I do as little or as much as I want. Some days, like if I have a busy day at uni or if I\u2019m at work, I\u2019ll do none and then other days I\u2019ll do an hour. My accommodation building has a bar and Sky Sports so I\u2019ll often socialise with friends and then nip back up to my room at halftime to place bets.\u201d<\/p>

\u201cI wouldn\u2019t say I\u2019m consistent because it varies but if I had to average it out I\u2019d say \u00a3300 a month.\u201d<\/p>

What\u2019s the most you\u2019ve\u00a0earned\u00a0in any one month?<\/strong><\/h3>

\u201cLast month (March) I made \u00a3700. Most of that was because of Cheltenham (a horse racing festival).\u201d<\/p>

How much have you\u00a0earned overall? Approximately?<\/strong><\/h3>

\u201cOverall, I\u2019d say about \u00a32,000\u201d.<\/p>

What does the extra money mean to you? How is it helping?<\/strong><\/h3>

\u201cIt helps in all sorts of ways. I use the extra money for special occasions \u2013 like birthdays or Christmas. I use it to save for holidays. I use it for day to day socialising. It\u2019s there as a backup and it\u2019s there to help me put a bit of money aside.\u201d<\/p>
