You can count on Costa leaving Chelsea

Bookmakers have slashed the odds further on Diego Costa leaving Chelsea after reports his lawyers were ready to take action against the club.

Costa was told earlier this summer that he was not needed by coach Antonio Conte, which has led to a summer of speculation.

Former club Atletico Madrid are widely expected to land him, despite the fact they have a transfer ban imposed on them, with Italian giants AC Milan also linked.

“Diego Costa is certain to leave, there is no way back for him at Chelsea and Chelsea won’t be responding well to threats from lawyers,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“Bookmakers have move to cut his odds further and very much odds-on to be leaving this summer.”
