BuildABets and same game multiples

BuildABets are another way to boost your monthly matched betting profits with reload offers. In this post, we’ll take a quick look at how BuildABet bets work.

What is BuildABet?

A buildabet is like it sounds. You build the bet. It also has other names like BetBuilder, Requestabet or PickYourPunt, but they’re all the same thing. It’s a DIY approach to making your own bets.

Some bookies have special BuildABet tools on their site. Others don’t. On these bookmaker sites, you just simply build the bet like you would an accumulator. Choose the selections you want to bet on and add them to the bet slip.

BuildABet is similar to an accumulator in that it is made up of multiple selections.

What is the difference between a buildabet and an accumulator?

However, the buildabet tends to be several selections within the same event or match. Accumulator bets, on the other hand, are usually multiple games or events.

Some bookies already have prebuilt bets that you can bet like you would a single bet. These generally tend to be bets that are generally not layable, however.

For these, you would have to treat as ‘advantage play’. This is when you give an edge to your bets by making the odds more in your favour. So you might not win anything consistently but over time, you should hit some winners that recoup your losses and put you into profit as the offer makes it a positive expected value over time.

This brings us to the next part…

How do you lay buildabets?

The easiest markets to use for buildabets is the ‘team to win & both teams to score’. Then to lay this, you would simply go to the ‘winner and both teams to score’ market at the exchange and lay it directly, So you would back this as two selections in one bet ie team to win as one selection and both teams to score yes and the selection. Then you lay one bet as both Smarkets and Betfair have a ‘winner/match odds and both teams to score’ market.

No muss no fuss.

Another example of an easily layable 2 selection buildabet is Winner and Over/Under Goals as these also have direct lay markets.

What can I do if I need to bet on a buildabet that has more than 2 selections?

Some examples of 3 selection buildabets are:

Example 1:

Back Bet: Match Result Draw & Under 2.5 goals & Both Teams to Score (BTTS) – Yes
Lay Bet: Correct Score 1-1

Example 2:

Back Bet: Match Result Draw & Under 0.5 Goals, Both Teams to Score (BTTS) – No
Lay Bet: Correct Score 0-0

Example 3:

Back Bet: Match Winner & Under 1.5 Goals, Both Teams to Score (BTTS) – No
Lay Bet: Correct Score 1-0

Example 4:

Back Bet: Match Winner, Under 3.5 Goals, Both Teams to Score (BTTS) – Yes
Lay Bet: Correct Score 2-1
