Tyson Fury win

Tyson Fury favourite for everything in 2020!

Tyson Fury is odds-on to beat Anthony Joshua, as and when he faces him – but Bookmakers also see him on course for other triumphs in 2020.

Fury clinched the WBC World Title with a dominant win over Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.

Now many are predicting that the most likely scenario for Fury is an all British unification fight with Joshua holding the other Heavyweight belts – the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO.

Should Joshua meet Fury, Bookmakers firmly believe that the Gypsy King will overcome AJ and is priced at 1/2 to win.

Joshua is currently in talks to fight Kubrat Pulev, but that is not signed off and he is favourite to be Fury’s next opponent, even though it is believed Wilder would also like a third fight to complete the trilogy.

it is 2/1 that Joshua is Fury’s next opponent, ahead of Wilder at 5/2 and another Brit Dillian Whyte at 4/1.

But it is not just in the ring that Bookmakers are anticipating glory for Fury as he is the early favourite to be named the Sports Personality of the Year.

He is classed as 2/1 favourite, ahead of potential Dina Asher-Smith, Laura Kenny and Adam Peaty – who are all tipped to do well at this year’s Tokyo Olympics, whilst Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling are seen as contenders – with the finals for Euro 2020 being held in England.

OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton commented: “Tyson Fury is literally on top of the boxing world after claiming the WBC title from Deontay Wilder, but what next?

“Yes everyone wants him to face Anthony Joshua and he is odds on to win that, but he is now a very short price favourite at 2/1 to win the Sports Personality of the Year – which would be a major turnaround for him given he was not even included on the shortlist in 2018 despite being one of the favourites for the honour.

“However, there is a big year for sport ahead with the Olympics and Euro 20202, so it remains to be seen if he will be on course come December when it is decided.”
