Ante-post City fans are sitting pretty

Manchester City’s form really does have the Bookmakers running scared and they are very much Champions-elect in their eyes.

City have looked imperious thus far and their brilliant 7-2 win win over Stoke City at the weekend, and now despite we are only in October, some Bookmakers are ready to stop taking bets on them making the top-four – indeed Punters have to work hard to find a market to back City if they fancy them.

“City play has been wonderful, Pep Guardiola has got them playing some wonderful football and the results are mirroring that – now if you want to bet on them finishing top-four, at best you can get 1/200,” revealed OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“We have been told that some Bookmakers are ready to take City out of the top-four market and just make it a battle for the other three places.

“As for the title, the odds are only going one way – City began the season at 5/2, but now the best price you can get 2/5 – so if you backed them ante-post at the start of the season, you are very wise and can probably start counting your winnings.

“City are now the shortest price we have seen at this stage of a season in ten-years, going back to the Manchester United side which went on to win the Premier League and Champions League double.

“Indeed, if you think City are destined to win all before them, the value is probably the Premier League/Champions League double –  at the moment you can get 10/1 on that, but that won’t be around for long in our opinion.”
