The new football season in England gets underway this weekend and fans up and down the country are taking their picks for each league, but is there a need to get on now – odds specialists OddsMonkey are not so sure.

OddsMonkey believes Middlesbrough are rightly favourites for the Championship, but they face a tough task at Wolverhampton in their opening game this weekend, so if you want to back Boro, why not wait?

“If you look at the Championship odds, Middlesbrough are favourites and 13/2 with Ladbrokes currently the best value in the market ahead of Aston Villa – best priced 8/1 with Black Type,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
