Odds pointing one way for Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho is on his way to Barcelona if the Spanish press and the Bookmakers in the UK are to be believed.

Since Neymar joined Paris Saint Germain, Bookmakers have been cutting and cutting the odds on his possible replacement with both Liverpool’s Coutinho and Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele targeted.

Reports in the Catalan press now insist that Barcelona are close to sealing deals for both Dembele and Coutinho, with the Liverpool man costing in excess of £90million – this is despite denials from the Anfield giants, that he is leaving.

Now, the odds are pointing to only one thing, a move to Barcelona – according to odds specialists OddsMonkey.

“Everything is pointing towards a Barcelona move for Coutinho, the odds are changing daily but not in Liverpool’s favour at all – you can get 5/4 to Evens around him staying – which if you think he is going to be at Anfield next season is not bad,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“But you only need look at the odds going the other way, that shows how much traction there is here – PaddyPower are now as short as 2/5 on him going to Barcelona, this is a market where he was as long as 5/1 just weeks ago.”

Odds on Coutinho moving to Barcelona:
2/5 PaddyPower
4/9 Betway
4/9 BetVictor
4/9 WilliamHill
1/2 888Sport
1/2 32Red
