Kirsty Wark favoured to land Question Time gig

June 18th, 2018 Home, News & Events, Press Release, Television

Kirsty Wark has emerged as favourite to replace David Dimbleby on Question Time after he confirmed his departure from the programme.

Dimbleby has fronted the political debate show for 25-years but he has decided he will be leaving at the end of 2018.

Now Bookmakers have compiled their list of favourites and Newsnight’s Wark has emerged as the front-runner, ahead of the likes of BBC news anchor Huw Edwards, and political journalist Nick Robinson.

“This is a job that has not been available for over a life time, but under Dimbley’s stewardship it has developed into a BBC institution,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“Now it is fair to see a scramble is set to take place, but Wark is hugely respected and it is easy to see why she is favourite.”

Selected odds on next Question Time host:
4/1 Kirsty Wark
4/1 Huw Edwards
7/1 Nick Robinson
8/1 Jeremy Paxman
12/1 Evan Davis
12/1 John Humphrys
14/1 Victoria Derbyshire
16/1 Emily Maitlis
16/1 Laura Kuenssberg
25/1 Andrew Marr
25/1 Andrew Neil
