A comedian has never won Britain’s Got Talent before but this year could very well be different with Robert White and Lost Voice Guy favourites to take the crown.
Robert White, who has Asperger’s syndrome, is favourite having been a surprise winner of his semi-final, whilst Lost Voice Guy – real name Lee Ridley, who has cerebral palsy and needs a computer to speak for him, has proven hugely popular throughout, and he also won his semi-final.
Bookmakers now have White and Ridley as the clear favourites for the title.
“The public love Robert White and Lost Voice Guy, and their odds of 6/4 and 9/4 show the Bookmakers are not really taking them on,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Pete Watton.
“It would be a huge shock if a Comedian is not crowned by champion on Sunday. DVJ – junior Diversity are next best in the betting at 4/1 but it does not seem likely that anyone but the top-three can win.
“Previous favourites Jack and Tim, the father and son singing duo, are in the final but they have now drifted to as far as 40/1.
“We should also watch out for the wild card, whoever that is won’t be huge odds as they will be one of the returning favourites – but it seems like the public are in the mood for laughs.”
