Billion Pound World Cup

The betting industry is predicting £1billion will be gambled in the World Cup over the next six weeks.

With England making the finals in Russia, that is expected to be the real push for a record breaking event across the Bookmaking sector.

Bookmakers are in agreement that they will be witnessing an event which is very rare.

“It is believed the last World Cup was close to a Billion, but this one should be the biggest ever,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“England being in Russia is a huge boost and Bookmakers have confirmed the unsurprisingly the English are the best backed team, although they are still only around 14/1 to win.
