Bookmakers think next Royal Baby is a girl

The latest addition to the Royal Family could arrive any time now with William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, expecting their third child.

William and Kate already have Prince George, aged 4, and Princess Charlotte, aged 2, and now a third child is due this month.

And excitement is growing with barriers being installed at the private wing at of St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington – where the Duchess will give birth.

Buckingham Palace has not confirmed if they are aware of the sex of the baby, but Bookmakers and public alike believe it will be another girl joining the family.

“We are expecting news quite soon but the markets believe it is a girl coming, with the first four names in the baby name market being female,” revealed OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“It should be remembered that both George and Charlotte were names fancied at the time and were amongst the favourite names.

“Now if we believe the Bookmakers and the public – Mary is the short-price favourite name for the next Royal baby, ahead of Alice at 6/1 and Victoria at 8/1 – the shortest boys names are Albert and Arthur at 14/1.

“If you fancy Wills or Kate naming the child after them, you can get 20/1 on Catherine and 33/1 on William.”
