Dancing On Ice ready to return

Dancing On Ice is set to return to our screens and it looks a very interesting field taking to the arena.

The series has been off air since 2014, but returns with the popular Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, but the  show itself has had a bit of an overhaul with skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean now on the panel – rather than coaching and choreographing each contestant – so in many ways it is now very similar to the Strictly format with the professional dancers taking more control.

The field itself has a number of names who have already taken part in reality TV series, none more so than the early favourite Jake Quickenden – who has taken part in the X Factor, I’m a Celebrity and The Jump.

Other include Great British Bake Off champion Candice Brown, Love Island winner Kem Cetinay and Lemar who starred in Fame Academy.

“It is not hard to see why Jake Quickenden is favourite with the Bookmakers, the public like him as we have seen from previous reality experiences and he is 3/1 for success,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“It is a field that is unpredictable as we don’t know who can skate – the Bookmakers clearly think that the sports personalities such as Max Evans and Perri Shakes-Drayton will be good, but in this format it is very difficult to predict.

“At this point you would have to look at some of the bigger prices, there is surely value here – we only have to look back to Strictly and see how the outsiders filled the top spots in the final.”

Selected Dancing On Ice Odds:
3/1 Jake Quickenden
5/1 Brooke Vincent
5/1 Max Evans
7/1 Perri Shakes-Drayton
8/1 Kem Cetinay
10/1 Lemar
11/1 Stephanie Waring
12/1 Donna Air
14/1 Antony Cotton
14/1 Candice Brown
14/1 Alex Beresford
25/1 Cheryl Baker
