Punters and Bookmakers can’t see past Manchester City

With the Premier League season about to start, Bookmakers and Punters alike are convinced Manchester City are the team to beat.

City have invested heavily and now in his second season Pep Guardiola is looking to get back to winning ways having failed to win any silverware last term.

However, Bookmakers are reporting very strong interest across the board on City and they are a very short price to win.

“It has been a while since we have seen a team so strong in the Premier League market ahead of a new season, and given that City went without winning anything last year – these odds are really interesting. At best you can get 7/4 with BoyleSport and Betway but they are as low as 3/2 with SkyBet, this highlights the volume that Punters are backing City,” OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton said.

“The Bookmakers are not taking on City, it is clear to see that, and a big win at Brighton on Sunday in their opening game could see them cut even more, and that goes for the first three in the market with Man United and Chelsea the next two in-line, indeed if we look at the market the Bookmakers believe it is a three-horse race. Both of those are 4/1 at best.

“If you believe that a Tottenham, Arsenal or Liverpool are going to challenge – make your move now. Spurs are available at 10/1 generally, whilst Arsenal and Liverpool are 12s.

“We would also say consider your Bookmaker with the overall bets – remember some pay-out early – look at BoyleSports last year paying out before Easter on Chelsea and BetFred do similar.”
