Wolves on the prowl – odds-on for promotion

Wolves are clear at the top of the Championship and the Bookmakers are convinced that they are destined to return to the Premier League.

The Black Country giants have not been in the top-flight since 2012 but now they are odds-on to get promoted.

At the start of the season Wolves were amongst the most fancied teams, but the Bookmakers did not think they would finish in the top-two.

“Wolves started the campaign at around 9/1 but ever since beating title favourites Middlesbrough on the opening day, they have been been getting cut on a regular basis,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.

“Now Punters are jumping on and the Bookmakers have slashed them 8/13 – which does appear quite short for the Championship given we are still only in November.

“It would certainly suggest that there could be value elsewhere, pre-season favourites Boro are now as long as 16/1 but back in goof form, odds like that may not last long.”
