What Is The Bet365 Position Payout Offer?

Being one of the most unique bonuses released, the Position Payout is a Bet365 exclusive offer, which can be used across horse racing. When placing horse racing bets, there are usually two types of popular bets, which are straight-up bets and each-way bets. However, the position payout offer allows bettors to profit from a range of places.

Here at OddsMonkey, we are going to look through all of the relevant details that bettors would need to know about the Bet365 Position Payout, including what it is, how it works, and different examples of the offer.

How Does The Bet365 Position Payout Offer Work?

The Bet365 Position Payout offer allows for different positions to award payouts, meaning it is not only the winner of the race or the horses that place that can offer a return. For example, the higher your horse finishes, the higher the return will be, and the offer can award prizes for finishing first, second, third, fourth, and even further positions, depending on how many runners are in the race.

The Position Payout offers users fixed odds for finishing positions, allowing customers to know the potential payout before placing a bet for each position. The values may vary, and while some bets may not yield profit, this offer provides additional options for bettors, meaning you can be returned a small amount of your stake if your horse does not win.

Whilst some of the odds might not be as high compared to each-way betting, the positions can range from more positions than typical place positions. If you are interested in each-way betting, you can learn more about it with our each-way betting guide.

Bet365 Position Payout Examples

When trying to understand how this position payout works throughout horse racing, there are plenty of examples available that can help with your understanding. We also offer a horse racing betting guide for those who are looking to learn more about horse racing bets.

Here, we are using an example from Gowran Park, where the first three positions will offer a return. As we can see, the favourite will only return a small percentage of the stake if it finishes 2nd or 3rd, yet placing a position payout bet on one of the smaller placed horses can lead to some decent returns, even if the horse does not win the race.

For this specific example, we can see that if we placed £10 on the favourite, we would be awarded with £15 if the horse won, making a £5 profit. However, if the horse finished 2nd, we would make a £2 loss as it offers an £8 return from a £10 stake. What makes this offer particularly interesting is that the potential returns may differ from those of placing a traditional win bet.

To find these Position Payout offers, users simply have to find the horse race meeting they want to place their bet on, and then click on the Position Payout tab, which can be found at the top of the betting options.

What Markets Can The Bet365 Position Payout Offer Be Used On?

The Position Payout is only available for use on horse racing events, meaning it cannot be used on sports such as football, rugby, or cricket. Although it can only be used for horse racing, it allows for a different number of positions to be awarded returns, depending on the race.

For example, for bigger races, some offers might award horses that finish as low as 6th. However, the odds will be lower for lower positions. You can see the returns as a multiplier or as ‘Returns from a £10 stake’ by switching the toggle in the top left.
