13:20 – Turners Novices’ Hurdle Race (Hurdle)
With a grand total of 52 runners, this race kicks off the spectacle on day two with over 2 miles of horse racing action. Featuring 10 hurdles in total, this race was won by Ballyburn in 2024, and The New Lion took the victory in 2025. This year, we look towards No Drama This End, who is the favourite with odds of 9/2, whilst Mighty Park comes with odds of 11/2.
14:00 – Brown Advisory Novices’ Steeple Chase (Chase)
Next up, this race is known to be one of the most prestigious races of the jumps season for novice chasers! With 23 runners and 19 hurdles, the Brown Advisory Novices’ Steeple Chase takes place across 3 miles and was won by Lecky Watson last year. This year, Final Demand sits favourite at 4/1, whilst The Big Westerner and Kaid d’Authie are both placed at 5/1. Users who are not sure about different odds or use American odds can access the OddsMonkey odds converter to work out what each bookmaker is offering.
14:40 – Coral Cup Hurdle (Hurdle)
Currently, with plenty of horses looking to take part, the maximum field of 26 makes the Coral Cup one of the most fiercely competitive betting heats at the meeting. With 10 hurdles and a distance of 2 miles and 5 furlongs, Iberico Lord is the favourite at 12/1, while East India Express and Nurse Susan sit at 16/1. In last year’s race, Jimmy Du Seuil came out victorious with odds of 16/1.
15:20 – Glenfarclas Cross Country Steeple Chase (Chase)
Run over 3m6f on the second day, this Cross Country race is a one-of-a-kind race at the festival as it is one of the longest. In 2024, the race was abandoned due to a waterlogged track, and in 2025, Stumptown won as a 5/2 favourite. This year, Stumptown looks to repeat his performance from last year, whilst Desertmore House and Favori De Champdou challenge at 11/2.
16:00 – BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase (Chase)
Being the most notable race of the day, the BetMGM Queen Mother Champion Steeple Chase is a race that takes place at a distance of around 2 miles and features 13 hurdles to be jumped. Won by Marine Nationale last year, Majborough is the favourite this year with odds at 13/8. The second favourite is last year’s winner, who is set at odds of 9/4, meaning the main battle for the win could be between these two runners.
16:40 – The Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Handicap Steeple Chase Challenge Cup (Chase)
With a distance of under 2 miles, this shorter race features 13 hurdles and is a fierce and fast gallop! This year, the field is fairly open, with the favourites being Only By Night and Vanderpoel with odds of 12/1, whilst last year’s winner, Jazzy Matty, is placed at 10/1.
17:20 – The Weatherby Champion Bumper (Bumper)
Being the last race of the day, the Weatherbys Champion Bumper is the only race at the meeting that has no obstacles to jump on. At a distance of 2 miles, this race was last won by trainer Willie Mullins and horse Bambino Fever, whereas this year, Love Sign D’Aunou is set as the favourite at 6/1!
