Long-time favourites Rak-Su are odds-on to be crowned X Factor winners this weekend, according to Bookmakers.
The general public have been getting behind the Watford-based R’n’B quartet of Ashley, Jamaal, Myles and Mustafa from the start, and have always been amongst the favourites for the title.
A group has only ever won the title once, and that was Little Mix – back in 2011 under the tutelage of Tulisa, but now Simon Cowell is in-line for his fourth overall title after previously taking the honours with Steve Brookstein, Leona Lewis and Ben Haenow.
“Rak-Su are odds-on, and that is little surprise, they have been impressing week-in and week-out and their fans – who are dubbed the Rak-Pak – are really getting behind them, they are 1/2 generally but could be shorter than that come Saturday night, in terms of probability the Bookmakers are making them 66% likely to win,” said OddsMonkey spokesman Peter Watton.
“However, you can’t rule the other two out in Grace Davies, who is with Sharon Osbourne, and Kevin Davy White, mentored by Nicole Scherzinger – both have had victories on-route to the final, and Grace has never been in the top-two betting wise the whole series.
“But Kevin is the really interesting one from our point of view, he was as long as 50/1 – that means at the start the Bookmakers had him down as having a less than 2% chance of winning, but now that is nearly 20% with him being 9/2 – but as we said, all the money is for Rak-Su and it will take an extraordinary result for them and Simon not to win.”
X Factor winner odds:
Rak-Su 1/2
Grace Davies 3/1
Kevin Davy White 9/2
